Gathering in Gratitude: A Thanksgiving Reflection

As the leaves turn golden and the air fills with the scent of woodsmoke and baked bread, Thanksgiving brings a special kind of peace to Hullabaloo Farms. It’s one of our favorite times of year — a moment to pause, reflect, and give thanks for all that God has provided.

Life on the farm has a way of teaching gratitude in every season, but at Thanksgiving, that truth feels especially close to our hearts.

🌾 Counting Blessings Big and Small

Farming teaches us daily that blessings often come disguised as hard work — early mornings, muddy boots, and weather that doesn’t always cooperate. But through it all, we see God’s hand at work in every sunrise, every harvest, and every healthy animal.

This season, we’re thankful for:

  • The land that sustains us

  • The animals we care for

  • The people who support our small family business

  • And the chance to live simply and faithfully each day

Each of these is a reminder that gratitude isn’t about having everything — it’s about seeing the good in what we’ve been given.

🥧 Gathering Around the Table

Thanksgiving on the farm is simple, hearty, and full of love. We gather around the table — sometimes a little dusty from chores — and share homemade meals that reflect the work of our hands and the abundance of the season.

From fresh sourdough biscuits to roasted vegetables, goat milk soap-scented hands, and laughter that fills the room, every part of the day feels like a celebration of community and God’s goodness.

✝️ Giving Thanks to the Giver

We love to take a moment before the meal to pray as a family — to thank God not just for what’s on our plates, but for the lessons, challenges, and quiet blessings that have shaped our year.

“Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.” — Psalm 107:1

Each year brings its own struggles and joys, but His faithfulness never wavers.

🌻 Sharing the Blessing

As we reflect on our blessings, we also remember to share them. Whether it’s offering handmade gifts, donating soaps or mixes to local markets, or simply sharing words of encouragement, we hope that what we create here blesses others too.

Our goal has always been simple: to honor God through the work of our hands and to share His goodness through every product, class, and connection.

💛 A Grateful Heart

Thanksgiving on the farm isn’t about perfection — it’s about presence. It’s about gathering, giving thanks, and remembering that every good thing comes from above.

From our family to yours, we pray your Thanksgiving is filled with warmth, gratitude, and the peace that only God can give.
🍂 Happy Thanksgiving from Hullabaloo Farms!
